MAINONE, an Equinix Company and West Africa’s premier connectivity and data centre solutions provider, has announced the inauguration of its expanded open-access, carrier-neutral Data Centre, AB1.2, in VITIB, Grand Bassam, Cote d’Ivoire scheduled for November 2023.
From the installation of its submarine cable to the establishment of the initial data centre back in 2019, MainOne, now under the Equinix umbrella, has consistently delivered top-notch connectivity, colocation, and interconnection services to meet the evolving technological needs of customers in Cote d’Ivoire. This new expansion is geared towards empowering digital transformation, fostering innovation, and catering to the escalating demand for data processing, storage, and connectivity in Cote d’Ivoire and the wider Francophone West Africa region.

Following the acquisition by Equinix, customers will gain access to over 240 data centres in 32 countries across the world, providing secure and dedicated interconnection services through the Equinix platform at this data centre.
