The US Department of State has offered a $7 million reward to anyone who can provide credible information that will lead to the arrest of Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau.
The department under the name Rewards for Justice, made their announcement on Twitter on Wednesday.

The militant Islamist group has been in conflict with the Nigerian government since 2009 and its reign of terror has affected more than 15 million people.
The group has targeted the Nigerian education system, assaulting schools, students and teachers in Northeast Nigeria, and disrupting access to education and social services, especially for young people.
Boko Haram is against anything that is ‘Western’, including voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education.
