Keypoints:
- PUMA launches 2026 national team kits globally
- African teams form core of global lineup
- Designs blend heritage, performance and sustainability
PUMA has officially unveiled its 2026 national team Home and Away kits ahead of this summer’s major international football tournament, placing African teams at the forefront of its global football strategy.
The collection, first revealed in New York City before its worldwide release, features 12 national teams across Africa, Europe, South America and Oceania. African nations including Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire form a central pillar of the lineup, reinforcing the brand’s long-standing ties to the continent.
African portfolio drives global strategy
PUMA’s latest release highlights Africa as a key focus within its football operations, with the continent delivering one of the strongest representations in the company’s national team partnerships.
Alongside African teams, the collection includes Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Paraguay and New Zealand, reflecting a cross-continental approach to the global game.
Each kit has been designed to capture national identity, blending cultural storytelling with modern performance innovation tailored for elite competition.
Maria Kiebacher, PUMA’s Director of Product Line Management for Teamsport Apparel, said the designs go beyond aesthetics.
She explained that ‘every kit in this collection is designed to carry the spirit of a nation — the colours, the symbols, the stories’, emphasising that innovation is matched by cultural authenticity.
Ghana designs fuse heritage and bold identity
Ghana’s kits stand out for their striking visual language and cultural references.
The Home kit features a white base layered with bold geometric patterns in red, yellow and green, symbolising the national colours. The Black Star sits prominently at the centre, anchoring the design in national pride.
The Away kit adopts a gold colour scheme, enriched with Kente-inspired patterns that reflect Ghana’s textile heritage. Red accents and the Black Star reinforce continuity between tradition and modern design.
Morocco unveiling highlights emotional connection
In Morocco, PUMA staged a personalised unveiling for the national team in Rabat, presenting players with their kits during a training session ahead of the tournament.
The activation, carried out with the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, saw players receive customised jerseys during the March FIFA international window. The initiative underscored the brand’s emphasis on cultural connection and direct engagement with its partner teams.
Global collection reflects diverse identities
Elsewhere, each national team kit reflects distinct design influences.
Switzerland’s Home kit centres on a bold red base with white detailing and the national cross, while Austria combines a red-and-black Home design with an alpine-inspired Away kit.
Paraguay returns to its traditional red-and-white stripes with a modern twist, paired with a camo-inspired Away version. Senegal integrates intricate patterns and vibrant tones, while Cote d’Ivoire’s kits draw on traditional textile motifs to create a celebratory feel.
New Zealand adopts a minimalist aesthetic with a textured black Home kit and a light blue Away version, while the Czech Republic rounds out the collection with a deep red Home and a simplified Away design.
Innovation and sustainability at the core
PUMA said the kits are available in both Authentic and Replica versions.
The Authentic jerseys feature ULTRAWEAVE technology, designed to deliver lightweight performance and unrestricted movement for professional players. Replica versions retain the same design but are tailored for everyday wear with a more relaxed fit.
All kits incorporate dryCELL technology to wick moisture and enhance comfort.
The company also highlighted its sustainability push, noting that Replica jerseys are produced under its RE:FIBRE initiative, using recycled textile waste. The materials are designed to maintain performance while supporting a circular production model.
Global availability confirmed
The full range of PUMA’s 2026 national team kits became available globally on March 24, 2026, through official stores, online platforms and selected retailers.
With major international competition approaching, the launch reinforces PUMA’s position in global football — with African teams once again playing a leading role in shaping both performance and cultural identity on the world stage.
